Just wondering if the streem will take larger than 1 gig sd cards? also does it take reduced sd cards or just the regular sized one.

Well, I'm not sure what you mean by a reduced size. If you mean the mini or micro SD cards, I'm guessing they'd work with an adapter, but I'm not sure. Also, the amount of memory shouldn't make a difference, but remember they recommend using High Capacity cards. We've a couple two gig cards here, and they work fine.

Lou, be careful here: there are some pretty large sd cards being made now and they are not compatible with all devices. I purchased the nokia n82 and it can only handle up to 4GB cards. I wanted the 8GB. That would be a good questions for tech support. It's possible that this could be a firmware issue and in a later update they migh increast the capacity. They just came out with a stream update. a week ago I think.

Thanks,John for the heads up. They have indeed come out ,with the update, but I haven't downloaded into our work unit yet.

cool. I am going to get one, a stream that is. That sounds like one of the best new devices out there!

read the online FAQ; 8GB high capacity cards will work fine, and someone reported using a 16G card.

Are the recordings made with the victor stream good quality? And what format is the recorded file? Can it record in mp3 so we can copy it on a computer and do some editing?

you can convert it to wav with the companion software, records in 3gp if I remember correctly.
The quality is better than I expected that's for sure

Stream records in mono. Great for recording classes and meetings, as well as notes for bookmarks, but not for podcasting in most cases.
